My Story
Hi, my name is Michelle Ojeda and I am married to an incredibly supportive husband of 23 years and am also a mother of 2 wonderful children ages 22 and 15.
This is my Scentsy Story.
I used to work for the City of El Paso for over 14 years as a police officer and I loved it! Unfortunately, I had to medically retire in April of 2012. I was distraught and extremely depressed due to the abrupt change and my health began to worsen gradually.
However, one day as I was changing the wax out of my warmers, I had an idea that maybe I could start selling Scentsy since I loved the brand so much!
Well, I leaped and I joined in September of 2013. I didn't know a thing about selling products but my sponsor told me that it's not about "selling" it's about "sharing" the product. Scentsy sells itself and all I needed to do was to go out and promote it. Thus I began to give out catalogs, branded my vehicle, and wore anything scentsy-related so I could get noticed.
Since I started selling, I noticed that there were people out there who were not aware of what Scentsy was all the amazing products they sold, and the opportunities that they had to offer.
When I meet a new client, it makes me just want to share everything about Scentsy with them. After I deliver their products and see how thrilled they are it makes me feel cheerful and grateful knowing that I just brightened up their day!
I especially appreciate that our products have a lifetime warranty. Which helped me gain numerous new clients.
I realize now that had I not started selling Scenty my well-being would likely have gotten worse but staying busy with meeting new customers, doing parties, making friends, building my clientele and my Scentsy team has made me healthy and has given me a
different outlook on life. I also know since selling Scentsy, I now have time to spend with my family and still make time for my business. I am my boss and I love every minute of it!
Since joining Scentsy, I've met many amazing people. Some of these folks are loyal clients whom I have established great friendships with. I have also made many friendships with fellow consultants who I am blessed to call "family".
I have this amazing group of girls and a few guys that are on my team and I am extremely thankful for every one of them and what they each bring to our team.
I met my goal of earning my very first incentive trip to Walt Disney World in 2016 for my family and me. The trip was astounding and we made many wonderful memories! We were even fortunate enough to meet and take photos with the CEO's of Scentsy!
Since then I've also earned an inclusive trip for my husband and I to Punta Cana in the Dominic Republic. Then in 2017, We earned our spots on our very first 7-day cruise to the Mediterranean! We visited Barcelona, Spain to Provence, France to Naples, Italy and other wonderful cities. Then this year we earned an all-paid trip to Walt Disney World but with the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided not to take it and instead take a family trip courtesy of Scentsy. We've also cruised to Alaska and that was beautiful. Another bucket list destination was NYC. We especially got to visit the 911 Memorial, and the Statue of Liberty, and to watch a Broadway play, Hamilton.
Our latest bucket list destination was Ohua Hawaii which was breathtaking.
